Located in beautiful Costa Rica, this private bungalow is 3km from the small beach town of Montezuma which is at the Southern tip of the Nicoya peninsula. The bungalow is a 3-minute walk to Los Cedros Beach and is surrounded by nature. The bungalow is nestled underneath forest canopy, thus attracting wildlife such as monkeys, pizotes, agoutis, and a variety of birds and butterflies. Many have described the bungalow as a romantic getaway for people who want a quiet and relaxing holiday.

ABOUT MONTEZUMA

Montezuma is often referred to as a "bohemian beach town." As such, you can expect Montezuma to have an off-the-beaten track, laid back vibe. Montezuma is located on the southern coast of the Nicoya Peninsula. The area is somewhat remote, so getting to Montezuma is a bit of a trek, therefore, not overly crowded!

Why Montezuma? Montezuma has many quiet beaches, waterfalls, thick forest, and abundant wildlife such as monkeys, birds, pizote, agouti, anteaters, and a plethora of butterflies, to name a few. Montezuma is a vibrant community, made up of locals and like-minded expats. Also, Montezuma has an impressive selection of restaurants, serving food from all around the world. You can also snorkle, hike, fish, surf, hang out at the beach, book a yoga class, swim in waterfalls...the list goes on!

GETTING AROUND

It is highly recommended to rent a car (4x4 is best) if you want to explore the area. There is also a local bus during the day as well as taxis at night. We will have two bicycles available for your use if you'd like to tour the immediate area by bike. The town of Montezuma is walkable from the bungalow, however, it is about 45 minutes by foot, and 45 minutes by foot to the nearby fishing village of Cabuya. You can fly into Liberia International Airport, or San Jose International Airport. We are happy to help you organize your travel.
